We're getting all the rehearsal stuff finished up here in Tampa for the start of the upcoming tour, and thought we'd throw you guys a little treat. Some of you guys and girls may already have this track, but it's one that was recorded in Salt Lake City before we even released "Southern Weather." We've played live a few times, and until today has only been available with the purchase of the album on Itunes. We just posted to our myspace "Hold On," so that you'll have no excuse when it comes time to sing along!
Before The Almost starts their headline tour they are playing 97X in Tampa’s Backyard BBQ on May 24th!
Their friend Shark just asked the band to join the show this afternoon and of course they had to say yes and come back for a second year. The other bands on the show 10 Years, The Spill Canvas and SafteySuit. For More Info Go to http://97xonline.com/cgi-bin/info.cgi?type=event&id=2643769

Good Morning Atlanta and Happy Birthday to...
Aaron! He turns 24 today. Looks like we're gonna have to party tonight! And what a perfect night to do it in....Atlanta. One of my favorites. Good times, good people. Let's back up a bit though, shall we?
Last night we rocked Palmetto/Sarasota, Florida. It was a Warped Tour off-day, and we definitely passed the venue a couple of times before actually finding it. Turns out the venue was on the backside of a Mexican restaurant. That made a first for me personally. I've never played at a Mexican restaurant. But whatever. We pulled in and hung out for a little while the Plain White T's had their soundcheck and got comfy. I got comfy myself by hitting up Sonic, whose Cherry Limeade is the perfect summertime companion.
We got back, soundchecked, hung out, and had a great show. Kenny and Aaron's mom came and so did our friend Kelly. We planned on going to Chili's for a Aaron's birthday, but unfortunately, we were blocked in from leaving. Bummer. So what did we do? Oh. I'll tell you. We went classy and ordered Pizza Hut and drank diet coke.
So why am I so excited about playing at the home of the Braves, Hawks, Thrashers, and Falcons you ask? Two words. Norma Jean. These guys are some of my oldest friends, and they're jumping on the tour for a few days starting today. It's been a long time since I've been on the road with these dudes, so I'm more than stoked. The only bummer is that we've only got three more warped dates left before we take a twenty day break. I'm definitely excited about getting home for a bit, and I'm really excited about seeing Silverchair at the end of the month! But missing the east coast is going to sting a little bit. Speaking of that, our dates are starting to roll in for the make-up shows we'll be doing in early September! We'll be making an announcement about that really soon! Keep your ears open!
Head on over to The Almost PureVolume page, listen to "Say This Sooner," and check out the band's newest picture because it was just added for your viewing pleasure! Enjoy!
First, thank you to everyone who has supported The Almost by purchasing the new album this week.
As some of you have noticed, there were some track listing problems with the iTunes version of the album. We're very sorry to everyone that bought this version (even though you got an extra acoustic track for free....you didn't hear it from us) and just to be clear, the corrected version is on iTunes right now!
If you already bought the jumbled verison we will have info shortly on how to fix it (we're working with the iTunes people as you're reading this), keep checking back for the latest.
If you HAVEN'T purchased the album yet.....then what are you waiting for?!? It's only $7.99 on iTunes.
